The dry spell ends

After nine days of dry weather, we will start to pick up some rain this week.  The last time it rained was on Saturday, May 16th. Looks like we will see a chance of some showers on Tuesday (May 26). If not then more likely on Wednesday.

Over the holiday weekend a stationary front was hanging down to our south along the Ohio River. That kept us in the less humid and mild air. Tuesday that front will move northward. A cool front will approach from the west on Wednesday and then push east of the area on Thursday. Bottom line is that we are going to see a rather active weather pattern this week with periods of rain from time to time.

As for temperatures, they will remain mild in the 70s all week.

Sunshine and more sunshine

If you like active weather, this will not be your week.  HIGH pressure is going to be the primary influence across the lower Great Lakes pretty much all week.  A cool front will drip toward the northern part of the state midweek, but at this time it looks like it will stall out just north of the area.

Generally, we are going to see nothing but lots of sun with a few clouds from time to time. Add to that gradually warming temperatures and this is going to be a really nice week to get out and do some yard work. (We might even hit 80 on Thursday!)

Enjoy!

Here comes the sun

Finally...after spending a couple of weeks under a blanket of clouds, this week looks to be a bit brighter. HIGH pressure will be a much more dominate influence than it was last week.

At the moment, it does look like some showers and thunderstorms will rumble through late Wednesday and into Thursday, but the first part of the week looks to be dry.

Temperatures will start off on the cool side, especially at night, but then will warm up nicely around midweek as the jet stream hangs to our north leaving us on the warmer south side.

All that being said, unless you like clouds and showers, I think you'll like this week much more than last.

Enjoy!
