Thursday Forecast, August 8

LOW pressure riding along that front that came through yesterday will keep us generally cloudy with a few afternoon showers and storms.  Speaking of those storms, some of those cells dropped a lot of water. Here at the Weather Center we ended up with just under 3/4"for the day...2/3" fell in an hour. And, down near the Stark/Wayne/Summit county line there were reports of a funnel. Yesterday was a pretty rowdy weather day. Today should be a bit more mellow.

Wednesday Forecast (August 7)

A cold front will pass overhead tonight then stall near the Ohio River. In the meantime we will see lots of clouds today with some showers and storms arriving this afternoon. With the front hanging near the river for a few days before pushing eastward, we could see showers and storms pop up most any time, but I tried to put some timing in the forecast when it looks like the best changes will occur.

Lots of clouds will be over the area for the next few days. We also will have some showers and storms from time to time. They will just be scattered about and could occur almost any time. I wouldn't cancel any outdoor plans. Just wait and see what happens.

Monday Forecast, August 5

Temperatures most of this week will be near normal. Our normal daytime high is a degree or two above 80, so this will be a change from the 70s we experienced last week. It will be wet from time to time as well. Hard to say exactly when the showers and storms will move through, but they will be scattered about beginning tonight through Wednesday.

A cool front will push across the area this morning triggering a few showers.  Most of the rain is currently south of Akron as of 6am. Later today the clouds will break and a bit of sun will peak through. Sunday looks like a really nice day.  All in all, not a bad weekend. Have fun!
