WINTER STORM UPDATE (5pm)

STORM ALERT (5pm update): Everything is still on track. The winter storm is heading our way. Snow should begin between 9pm and midnight and continue overnight.
Areas of southern Portage and Summit counties could see some freezing rain mixed in between midnight and 7am. Areas north should see all snow.
Snowfall should total 5-7 inches overnight with winds increasing to 15+ mph causing blowing snow for the morning commute. Snowfall rates overnight will be 1/2" per hour and possibly a bit heavier at times.

SNOWSTORM ALERT: Snow will move into the area Tuesday evening and continue Wednesday morning. The heavier snow will begin between 9pm and midnight. Overnight snowfall is expected to be 5-7 inches with a storm total of 6-9 inches by Wednesday evening. It will become windy overnight Tuesday so blowing snow could cause problems for the Wednesday morning commute.

Winter Storm Warning Tuesday evening into Wednesday afternoon

SNOWSTORM ALERT: Snow should move into the area Tuesday evening and overnight and continue Wednesday morning. Overnight snowfall by Wednesday morning is expected to be 4-6 inches with an additional inch or so falling by Wednesday evening for a storm total of 6-8 inches. It will become windy overnight Tuesday so blowing snow could cause problems for the Wednesday morning commute.

I'm still not getting too excited about the snowstorm moving out of Texas on Tuesday and Wednesday. At this time I'm still hanging on the lighter side of things (not "end of the world" scenario). Total snow in the 3-5 inch range. Heavier amounts will fall to our northwest.
