Saturday Forecast, July 13

Today will be another nice day, but hot and muggy weather is going to return to the area and it will begin tomorrow. The "muggies" look like they will stay around all of next week.  There will be a slight chance of a shower or storm from time to time during the period, but the chance is so small it's not even in the forecast.

VACATION NOTE: I will be leaving town for a vacation tomorrow morning, so this will be your last update until next Friday. (It's going to be hot where I'm going, too...just not so humid.)

Friday Forecast, July 12

Looks like a nice weekend is coming up, although there will be a chance of an isolated shower.  The chance is so small that I'm not putting it in the forecast just yet. Today and tomorrow will be very nice, but on Sunday the humidity will start to crank up again and by Monday it will feel very muggy. Until then, enjoy!

Following a very active weather day yesterday, today and the weekend are going to be very pleasant. While there was a lot of flooding yesterday as over 2" of rain fell across the area, there appeared to be no major damage with the exception of a few lightning-initialed fires. The high water area will continue to recede today.

Like we need more rain...but, we're gonna get it. We've already had a couple of inches this week and more is in store for us today. But, alas! After we get through the heavy rain and storms today, slightly cooler and much less humid air is going to move in and hang around through the weekend.  It's actually going to be sunny and pleasant!

The big news this week will be a change of air mass for at least a couple of days. It looks like Thursday and Friday should be mostly dry and pleasant with lots of sun and lower dew points, meaning much less muggy. But, it probably won't last long, so enjoy it.
