COLD
I went back through the record book this morning. So far this winter we have had ten days where the temperature has dropped below ZERO. Our coldest was -11 on January 7th. To find anything even close to this I had to search back to the winter of 2008-2009. That winter we had five days below ZERO with the coldest being -14 on the overnight of January 16/17, 2009.
Here's a breakdown of the past six winters:
Winter Days of ZERO or below
2013-14 10 (as of 2/17)
2012-13 0
2011-12 1 (ZERO on 1/20)
2010-11 2
2009-10 0
2008-09 5
SNOW
The snow will continue tonight. A storm off to our southwest will move up through Ohio overnight and dump around 4 inches locally by morning. It's like...gee...only 4 inches? No big deal. We are quite used to this stuff now aren't we. The map below shows where the bulk of the snow will fall tonight.
