Memorial Day Weekend...Meteor Shower

Well, this is going to be a sweet holiday weekend. Whether it's a memorial service, parade, picnic, or fireworks the weather in the Greater Akron area is going to be sunny and warm. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday will all be dry with temperatures in the 70s. We could even hit 80 on Monday.

In addition to the nice weather, the first ever meteor shower from the newly discovered Comet Linear will be visible in NE Ohio.  With the partly cloudy skies tonight (Friday) and early Saturday morning you could see up to 100 meteors per hour. If you are out, be sure to look up once in a while and enjoy the show. If you miss it tonight, however, forecasters say you can still see a lighter-weight show the remainder of the weekend.

Enjoy your weekend!
