Updated Forecast with Heavy Snow Discussion

Snow is going to start falling in the region overnight tonight.  The snow will generally be on the light side through the day Wednesday only totaling 2-3 inches new by Wednesday evening.

Wednesday night and Thursday the snow will turn heavy. Combined with strong winds gusting to near 30mph at times, conditions will not be favorable for travel do to considerable blowing and drifting.

By Thursday evening we should have a storm total of 6-10 inches in the area with the heavier amounts in those places where lake effect sets up. However, everybody should see about 6 inches at least.

The National Weather Service currently has a Winter Storm WATCH posted from Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. That will likely be upgraded tomorrow.
