Extreme COLD is on the way!

Now that the snow is winding down, our next big event will be dangerously cold wind chills. Saturday morning will be cold, but that will just be the teaser. Temperatures will warm Saturday and Sunday to around freezing, but a serious arctic blast, one of the coldest we have seen in years, will arrive on Monday.

Temperatures on Monday will be hovering around +11 degrees in the morning, and then drop all day to around ZERO by evening. By Tuesday morning, the actual air temperature will be around -10 or so with wind chills in the minus 30s. Yeah...that's cold!

Here's a look at what we expect in the wind chill department Saturday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings around daybreak. NWS is the National Weather Service prediction. ACCU is the Accuweather prediction. The first temperatures will be the actual air temperatures followed by the wind chill values.

Saturday morning
NWS: +6/-11
ACCU: +9/-7

Tuesday morning
NWS: -10/-32
ACCU: -12/-39

Wednesday morning
NWS: -4/-19
ACCU: -2/-16
